सात साल के लंबे इंतजार के बाद आखिरकार आज निर्भया को इंसाफ मिला और मामले के चारों दोषियों विनय, पवन, अक्षय और मुकेश को शुक्रवार सुबह साढ़े पांच बजे तिहाड़ जेल में फांसी दे दी गई। फांसी के फंदे पर लटकने से पहले चारों दोषी पूरी तरह से जेल में शांत दिखे। फांसी से ठीक कुछ देर पहले मौत सामने देख निर्भया का दोषी खूब रोया, गिड़गिड़ाया और माफी भी मांगी, मगर फिर बाद में एकदम शांत हो गया।
तिहाड़ जेल के डीजी ने कहा कि निर्भया के दोषी मुकेश और विनय ने रात में खाना खाया था और अक्षय ने सिर्फ चाय पी थी। हालांकि, विनय खूब रोया, मगर बाद में वह चुप हो गया और चारों दोषी शांत रहे। रात में कोर्ट के हर घटनाक्रम से उन्हें अपडेट कराया जा रहा था।
उन्होंने निर्भया के दोषियों के शवों को लेकर कहा कि अगर उनके परिवारवाले शव लेने का दावा करेंगे तो हम उन्हें सौंप देंगे, वरना हम ही उनका अंतिम संस्कार करेंगे।
वहीं, निर्भया सामूहिक बलात्कार और हत्या मामले के चारों दोषियों ने फांसी दिए जाने से पहले कोई आखिरी इच्छा जाहिर नहीं की थी। अधिकारी ने कहा, ‘दोषियों ने अधिकारियों के समक्ष कोई आखिरी इच्छा जाहिर नहीं की थी। फांसी दिए जाने से पहले उनसे उनकी आखिरी इच्छा पूछी गई थी।’
जेल की नियामवली के अनुसार अधीक्षक और जिला मजिस्ट्रेट या अतिरिक्त जिला मजिस्ट्रेट की उपस्थिति में कैदी की वसीयत सहित किसी भी दस्तावेज पर हस्ताक्षर कराए जा सकते हैं या उसे संलग्न किया जा सकता है।
गौरतलब है कि पूरे देश की आत्मा को झकझोर देने वाले इस मामले के चारों दोषियों मुकेश सिंह (32), पवन गुप्ता (25), विनय शर्मा (26) और अक्षय कुमार सिंह (31) को सुबह साढ़े पांच बजे तिहाड़ जेल में फांसी दे दी गई।

According to the Niyamwali of the jail, in the presence of the Superintendent and District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate, any document including the will of the prisoner can be signed or attached.
